Swine Flu...What is the truth

So we have heard a lot about the Swine Flu. I am a little surprised at the reaction that has been generated from all the media hype. Yesterday while listening to sports radio, they said that in the whole state of Texas, they have shut down all High School Sport for the next 2-3 weeks due to the fear of what might happen. That just blew me away.

Is there a problem? Yes. Is it as big and nasty as the media is making it out to be? I do not think so. Do I feel bad and sorry for those people and families who have been affected? You better believe it.

I think this makes some great points on this whole issue. I think this information can provide a little perspective on the situation.

Is there a problem? Like I said before, Yes. What do we do about it? We live our life as normal, and then we take care of our body--good sleep, wash hands, eat right--all the things that we have been told for ever to keep us healthy.

So, my advise: Don't get caught up in the fear. Get caught up in what is the best things that I can do to have a healthy immune system, and to care for my body.

Below are some pictures from one of the most incredible weeks that I have ever had. The opportunity to give and receive was amazing. I went to give of my service and received so much more in return. The people of the Dominican Republic were so happy and smiling, it was contagious. I realized that many things that I complain about are really blessings to so many of the rest of the world.
